I’m still shocked that Michael Jackson is dead. It doesn’t seem possible. And when I see the footage of him dancing, literally hours before he died, it seems like a bad dream. And seeing the people come out of the woodworks to try and make money either from his estate of off of him is appalling. Add to that list Joe Jackson. Yup, Michael Jackson’s father Joe, is seeking upwards of $20,000.00 from the estate for “living expenses.” His rationale is that since Katherine Jackson is getting money, he should too! I guess he is trying to get nominated for “Father of the Year” again!
It stands to reason that if Michael wanted his father to have some money, it would have been put in the will. IT WASN’T! So for Joe to now seek money is disgusting. Are we all to think that Michael not including his father in the will was an accident? Are we to believe that Mike forgot that he had a father? Both Michael and Janet have both said that Joe was abusive to Michael. Does Joe think Michael has forgotten that? Does any parent think that a child forgets the person who abused him?
Joe needs to do what millions of senior citizens do. Go collect Social Security and live off of that. He received millions of dollars off of his children. If he wasn’t smart enough to keep some of it for a “rainy day“, so be it. But he shouldn’t collect one thin dime from Michael’s estate. The money that Katherine is getting from Michael’s estate if for the care of his children.
The gravy train unfortunately is gone Joe. And your ticket has expired. Get a job!

I went through a period where I had the “neighbor council” sat in their “Community Cowards” meetings and decided to pick and choose who to call the police on. Not because we were bad neighbors. Not because we threw loud parties. Not because we were selling drugs. We had the police called to our house because a REGISTERED CAR hadn’t been moved within 72 hours. And to prove that I was being harassed, I moved my car EVERYDAY and took pictures. I then sent those pictures to myself through email. That provided a DATE and TIME STAMP. And when I contested the ticket, and sent in my evidence, low and behold, the city refunded my money. I guess they saw one HELL OF A LAWSUIT and decided that it wasn’t worth $41.00. Why am I bring this up? Because I recently read that a town in the wealthy section of Bridgeport, Connecticut is in the throes of a major legal battle. Over a stone fence!!!!
It seems like a family built a stone fence in the same position of a former fence on their property. Another neighbor complained about the fence saying that it was on “private lane” and that all of the neighbors would be liable if something happened. The city is saying that the fence is environmentally wrong because it encroaches on the wetlands. The family has already spent $150,000.00 on legal fees. And they could conceivable spend another $150,000.00 until the case is completed. Then another $50,000.00 on modifications to try and appease everyone. The fence was built at a cost of $170,000.00. So already they have spent $370,000.00 and the case hasn’t even gone to court. Should the Lilliens lose the case, they will have to spend another $120,000.00 to tear the fence down! And don’t forget, the officials of Bridgeport Connecticut have had to spend money to bring and defend their case too. Taking money and resources from the citizens. Did I forget to mention that the city got the complaint about the fence as it was being built, and didn’t stop it???
That this has gotten this far is ridiculous. There are people who have lost their houses for half of the money that is being spent do defend a fence. And it seems like these types of “lawsuits” are common among rich people. They get into pissing contests with each other and use real money like it was “monopoly money” and see who can spend the most money. All in the name of “principle.” The money that is being spent to amuse rich people could fund some non-profits for a year.
For this to be a problem, it just means that these people have too much fucking money and even more time on their hands!

It has come to light that the state of Texas will now pay exonerated prisoners millions of dollars as payment for having been in jail for, in many cases, decades. These payments will come with lifetime annuities ranging from $40,000.00 to $50,000.00, lump sum payments, free medical and dental, job training, and college tuition for 120 hours at a public college. Some of the men will get upwards of 2 million dollars. The only stipulation is that these innocent people stay out of trouble. Fair enough. But what about the families of the victims who thought the person who did harm to their loved one was firmly behind bars only to find out that wasn’t the case? That the guilty person has been allowed to walk free for ten, fifteen, twenty, or even twenty-five years? And what about the tax payers in the state of Texas? That money has to come from someplace. What services will be taken away from the citizens to pay for these settlements? But what about the people who put them behind bars? What is their punishment for possibly bribing witnesses, withholding evidence, twisting the truth, or just “testi-lying” as the police like to call it? What happens to them?
Texas leads the nation in freeing innocent people wrongly convicted of crimes. At last count, the number stood at 38. These men were freed because of the work of the Innocent Project, a New York legal center that specializes in overturning wrongful convictions. Without the Innocent Project, these men, many who proclaimed their innocence loud, long, and hard from the beginning, would still be in prison. I’d hate to say that race played a hand in these convictions. That the victim was white and the alleged perpetrators were Black. But from looking at some of the wrongly convicted men, at least one side of this equation is already known. Black men were sent to prison for long stretches of time for crimes that DNA has proven they didn’t commit.
I’d like to see the people who sent these men have to pay some kind of price. Because you can bet some of them used these cases as stepping stones to bigger, higher profile jobs. I wouldn’t doubt that some of these policemen, police chiefs, prosecutors, and judges, and maybe even politicians, used these men to further their own “tough on crime persona’s.” They should be made to tell what happened and make their own amends to these men. Some of the light needs to be dimmed on people who took away something that no amount of money can buy. TIME!

Staycation. One of the newest terms to come out of the recession. Staycation. For those of you who don’t know what a staycation is, that is when you have the TIME to go on a vacation, but don’t have the MONEY to pay for it. Like that shit is something. Like anything, when it happens to anyone else, it doesn’t mean anything. But when it happens to white people, it gets legitimized and gets a name. STAYCATION. Ain’t that a BITCH!
I read everyday’s paper. Meaning some days I get busy and don’t read Monday’s paper on Monday. I might read it on Tuesday. But I read everyday’s paper. And I was aware of what that meant. But when my mother heard about it, she laughed so hard that tears came from her eyes!
My mother and I went out to purchase a couch and when we got to the store we found them to be unacceptable. My dog wouldn’t have climbed their furry butts on those raggedy ass couches. So moms said she wanted to go the “water.” We stopped off at the store and bought a couple of drinks and headed to the beach. On the way to Harbor Drive, I saw a sign that said “Staycation.” I said, out loud, “Staycation, Ain’t that a Bitch!” Mom asked me what did it mean. So I explained it to her. I then said that “Black folks have been “staycationing” our entire lives. Now that it happening to white people it got a name!” With those words, mom let out a laugh that I hadn’t heard in a while. And every time I looked at her, she would laugh even louder and harder. It got to the point that I was laughing at her, laughing at me, laughing at her. By the time we parked, moms had tears coming from her eyes.

I wrote a post titled “Money can buy anything if you have enough of it” where I talked about the illegal Black Market for organs. I made a reference to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs who was reported to have just had a kidney transplant. While I had no knowledge that Mr. Jobs had purchased a kidney, and I still don’t, I speculated that with enough money you can indeed buy one.
I was immediately chastised by people who said that I was one of those “irresponsible bloggers” who make statements with nothing to back them up. They said it was virtually impossible to buy an organ and that even though I had referenced two other “real news articles” that I had watched the movie “Coma” one too many times. For you young heads, the premise of the movie is that relatively healthy people wind up in comas after minor surgeries. A suspicious doctor finds out that the coma patients are being used as organ donors.

This past week, over 44 people were arrested in New Jersey for corruption. This is not news. New Jersey has been corrupt for decades. What is news is that most of the people arrested were either in local or state politics and were well known and respected Rabbis! But it doesn’t end there. The real story is that many of the Rabbis involved in this scandal were involved with Black Market organ sales!
