As expected, Federal Judge Vaughn Walker lifted the stay on Same Couple Marriage! Using the same legal standing that was presented in the overturning of Prop 8, Walker then reiterated that Prop 8 discriminated against Same Couple Marriages. Which means that on August 18, 2010, Lesbian and Gay couples will be able to get married again!
As in his original ruling, Judge Walker stated the obvious. That Same Couple Marriage “doesn’t harm heterosexual marriage or anyone else for that matter.” That there is “no reason to deny Same Couple Marriage.” That denying Same Couple Marriage is “NOT IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST.” And most importantly, whether “opponents of Same Couple Marriage have not made a strong showing that they are likely to succeed on the merits (of their appeal).”
Opponents of Same Couple Marriage had ample opportunity to present a case during the Appellant trial. And as Judge Walker stated in both of his rulings, “Proponents had a full opportunity to provide evidence in support of their position and nevertheless failed to present even one credible witness on the government interest in Proposition 8.” Prop 8 supporters presented two witnesses. One who based much of his theories on the research of closeted anti-gay leader George Rekers. And the other on a man who stated, on the stand, that he got his research “from the Internet.” Why are they surprised that Prop 8 was overturned?
According to the ruling, Judge Walker stated that “Proponents replied that they have an interest in defending Proposition 8 but failed to articulate even one specific harm they may suffer as a consequence of the injunction.” The reason they didn’t present any “specific harm” is because there is none. Never was. This has always been a moral issue and not a legal one. And as the judge stated in the original ruling, “California’s obligation is to treat its citizens equally, not to mandate [its] own moral code” and that ““Moral disapproval, without any other asserted state interest, has never been a rational basis for legislation.” For those who can’t read behind the lines, Judge Walker meant that just because you don’t like something, it doesn’t give you a right or reason to make it illegal.
If people took the time to read the original ruling overturning Prop 8, with an open and honest heart and mind, they will see two things. One is that Judge Vaughn Walker went to great lengths to explain his ruling. Second, he cited legal precedents to back up his ruling. So for all those clowns saying that he ruled the way he did because “he is gay”, get passed yourself! Whether he is Gay or not is irrelevant. Unlike you, Judge Walker applied the law. He didn’t use morality, the bible, or fear tactics to scare people into voting for a discriminatory law!
Unlike the title of this blog, I AM FEELING THIS!!!!!!!!!
P.S. To the citizens of California, YOU’RE WELCOME! Welcome for what? For all the money that will come into the state of California because of Same Couple Marriages!!!!!

I’m back folks! So be prepared because “it’s on and poppin’!” If you want to know what I have been up to, check out my Lesbian Comic called Lesbionix!
On August 4, 2010, Judge Vaughn Walker overturned Prop 8! His 138 page ruling shows that he spent considerable time and effort to look at both sides of the issue before making his ruling. As those of us on the RIGHT SIDE OF THIS ISSUE have always said, proponents of Prop 8 used “smoke and mirrors” to scare people and get those people with ONE BRAIN CELL to fall for lies and half truths. This was reiterated by the Prop 8 ruling!
The ruling effectively overturns Prop 8. Judge Walker stated that NOTHING the proponents of Prop 8 presented proved that Same Couple Marriage harmed “traditional marriage.” He also stated that “Because California has no interest in discriminating against gay men and lesbians, and because Proposition 8 prevents California from fulfilling its constitutional obligation to provide marriages on an equal basis, the court concludes that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional.” Really! Too bad 52% of Californians didn’t realize that!!!!!!!!
The funniest thing about the ruling is that Judge Walker went to great lengths to refute the witnesses for Prop 8. One of the witnesses, David Blankenhorn, lacked any credibility as an “expert witness.” But the best part about this is that Blankenhorn used so called research from George Alan Rekers, a co-founder in 1983 with James Dobson of the right-wing Family Research Council. Rekers was also a board member for the group “NARTH” who teach that Lesbians and Gays can be cured. If you recall, Rekers was caught frolicking with a “Rent Boy” when he went on an extended European vacation. Don’t know what a “Rent Boy” is? Rent Boys are GAY MEN who can be hired to spend time with other GAY MEN! Yeah, the guy who claimed to “cure gays” was himself GAY! And he is the same person who Blackenhorn quoted in books EXTENSIVELY and the Prop 8 testimony! Gee, is it any wonder why his testimony was discredited????
The next witness, Hak-Shing William Tam, essentially stated that he got his information “from the internet!” WTF! Any FOOL with a computer and a connection to the internet can write whatever they want! It doesn’t make it a FACT nor does it mean that it is true! That’s like people saying “it’s in the bible” so that makes it right! IT DOESN’T! Other than the FACT that the law was discriminatory on it’s face and UNCONSTITUTIONAL, it there any wonder with the CLOWNS they had testifying for them that they LOST?
Here are a few of the Twitter tweets that were posted after the ruling came down. And yes, I was LAUGHING MY FAT ASS OFF!

As you know or may not know, Proposition 8, the anti-gay marriage proposition passed 52% to 48%. Media reports state that minorities, both African American and Hispanics voted for the measure in large numbers. The reasons that have been given for this BIGOTED action range from “I don’t think it’s right”, to “It’s a choice”, to the old stand by of COWARDS that it is “God’s will, way, or just against God.” When you ask most of these so-called Christians to tell you EXACTLY where that is stated in the bible, most of them can’t even tell you. And the reason they can’t tell you is because it doesn’t exist! They say “it’s there” which is quite an ARGUMENT or DEFENSE to be a BIGOT.
If you can’t even say where the passage is in the bible that you HIDE BEHIND, then you are a POOR EXCUSE for a HUMAN BEING. That you would be a part of something so evil, hurtful, hateful, spiteful, DISCRIMNATORY, and BIGOTED, after experiencing the same things yourself is unconscionable. That you would deny spousal benefits to people who have been together for 15, 25, or even 30 years later is wrong, PERIOD! Are you aware of the fact that between June of 2008 and November 3, 2008, there were over 18,000 same sex marriages performed in california? And many of those 18,000 marriages came from people who don’t live in california or even America? And that many of those same sex couples brought family and friends with them when they got married? And those same sex couples, friends, and families stayed in hotels, ate at restaurants, and visited our many tourist destinations? That they needed flowers, limos, wedding cakes, wedding clothing, reception halls, and food, just to name a few things that you DUMBASSES just voted away? The Williams Institute at U.C.L.A. predicts gay men and lesbians will spend $684 million on wedding cakes, photographers, tuxedos, hotel rooms and related wedding trappings during the next three years. The institute estimates the State of california will haul in some $64 million in taxes and another $9 million in marriage license fees. For a state that has the third HIGHEST unemployment rate in America, 8.2% as of this writing, how much of that lost money could have provided jobs and services to our badly needed economy? When the economy goes bad, who are the very first people to feel it? African Americans and Latinos!
So instead of people spending that 757 million dollars in california, same sex couples will go to Massachuttes, Rhode Island, or Connecticut to get married. But those states have real winter seasons that might make people think of warmer climates when thinking of getting married. That is where california had an advantage. Our “winters” are nonexistent when compared to those states. We would have had money flowing into our govermental and business coffers year around. So when your water, gas and light, and trash fees get increased, don’t complain. When the libraries and youth recreation centers are closed, don’t say a word. When you get bopped on the head or have your house broken into, just SHUT the FUCK UP! You helped to create this situation? Gee, I didn’t think of that? I thought I was denying “them” their rights!
For all of you CLOWNS who want to say that a civil union is the same thing, I put this to you. Give up your marriage license and go down and get a civil union license. You won’t do that because you KNOW there is a difference!!!
And lastly, for you LOSERS who thought you could contribute money to that DISCRIMNATORY proposition in the dark, you were wrong. Below is a list of lists that name businesses and people who gave money to the WRONG SIDE! (Some lists might be duplicates. I wanted you all to have as much information as possible).
californians against Hate
Anti Gay Blacklist
Mormon Church businesses
Anti Gay Black List – xanga
Yeah, being outted is a BITCH, isn’t it!!!!!

Back in February of 2008, Michelle Obama, the new first lady of the United States of America, made a comment that she hadn’t been proud to be an American for some 26 years. She was vilified in the press for that comment and many people questioned whether America should elect someone whose wife is ashamed of the country he wants to lead. What many white people failed to realize it that the sentiment that Michelle stated spoke for millions of African Americans in this country. And for 25 years of my adult life, that included me!
Any African American of “Generation X” is old enough to know what happened in the 40′s, 50′s, and 60′s, and young enough to know that while some things have changed, many have just been hidden under the rug. When I heard the comment and the ensuing brouhaha, my first reaction was “yeah and.” The real problem is that many white people, even those who say they have “Black friends” have never sat down and had a REAL CONVERSATION, about each other’s true feelings about race in this country. A conversation that doesn’t point fingers, that doesn’t accuse, but just lays it/racism as we see it. If and when that conversation ever occurs, race relations will take another giant leap forward.
The thought that a Black man would be elected to be president in my lifetime was unfathomable. Yet on November 4, 2008, history was made. Barack Obama was elected president. And his message of inclusion obviously struck a cord that transcended race, age, occupation, sex, and sexual preference. While Obama’s “message of inclusion” created history, not only for America, but for the world, his message was certainly lost for 52 percent of californians.
