President Elect Barack Obama, still sounds good doesn’t it, who isn’t even in office yet, is the victim of more Republican nastiness. I guess the Republican party is still smarting from the OLD SCHOOL ASS KICKING they took this last election. Not only did they lose the presidency, but their loss of both houses is also complete.
Chip Saltsman, who is running for the presidency of the Republican party, sent out a Christmas CD titled, “We Hate the USA” that has a song on it named “Barack the Magic Negro.” In the song, with music from the Peter, Paul, and Mary’s 1960’s hit, “Puff the Magic Dragon“, it states that Barack isn’t really “Black“, and that the only reason white people voted for him is because of the guilt they feel for how African Americans were and are treated in this country. (The War, the Economy, a crumbling financial structure that many Republicans helped create, maintain, and profit from, had nothing to do with it ). The song says that in comparison to Louis Farakkhan, Al Sharpton and Snoop Dogg, Barack isn’t really Black or Black enough. As if the Republican party can ever say who is Black enough. They are claiming that the idea for the song came from a Los Angeles Times article so that gives them permisssion to create this nonsense.
The real reason the Republican party is trying to compare Barack to Farakkhan, Sharpton, and Snoop unfavorably, is because the later don’t inspire FEAR in the Republican Party’s HEARTS like Barack does. All Sharpton does is make speeches and run around looking for a camera to put his process in front of. And while I like Snoop, he is, and never will be the equal to Obama. Farakkhan’s influence is no longer what it was. What SCARES the Republican party the most is that Barack has come out of NO WHERE to become the President of the United States. He has inspired hope not only in this country, but in the world as a whole. None of those guys have EVER done that. EVER! PERIOD!! Read the rest of this entry »

The Dallas Cowboys, America’s team, seems to decide from weeek to week whether they want to be a team who is considered one of the best in football or a team that is a bunch of underachievers. One week they make plays on both sides of the ball that make you want to bet on them to win the Superbowl and then the very next week, they make some of the biggest bonehead plays that make you even want to trade them from your Fantasy football team. The bottom line is that their weakest link, the face of the team, and most teams, is their quarterback, Tony Romo.
Let me get this out of the way. Romo’s choice of a woman leaves alot to be desired. I won’t even mention the “no -talent’s” name. But it seems like everytime the media mentions her name in conjuntion with Romo’s name, the very next game, he CHOKES! Does anyone remember last year during the playoff season when Romo, “no talent” and “no talent’s father” among others, went on a vacation. It was mentioned all over the football sporting world. And that next game, during “winning time“, Romo got sacked TWICE during the final series, effectively losing the game for the “Boys.” While you can blame the Offensive Line, quarterbacks learn during Pee Wee football to “get rid of the ball.” That Romo continues to get sacked during crucial times lies directly at his feet, PERIOD!!! The last four possessions of the Boys last Sunday were two punts, and interception and a loss on downs.
This past week, it was rumored that “no talent” and Romo were now “roommates.” Whatever!!! And what happened against the Steelers last Sunday? Romo was sacked TWICE and threw an interception that became the winning points for the Steelers during winning time. The sacks and the interception came when the Cowboys were nursing a 7 point lead and were going in for the winning field goal. Romo has been annointed the “next” by a lot of people but he hasn’t delivered a damn thing. He is a “stat stuffer” and nothing more. He has yet to win a playoff game. But some people are putting him in the “one of the best quarterbacks in the league” category. Why am I bringing all of this up? Because the owner of the Cowboys, Jerry Jones, called his injured running back, Marion Barber, out for not playing in Sunday’s game. I don’t recall Jones questioning Romo’s pinkie injury that kept him out of 4 games!

Earlier this week, there was a sports media frenzy for an event that is two years away. Cleveland Cavaliers forward Lebron James, faced a sports media horde that waited with baited breath for every word uttered by him. That he is currently under contract with his current team didn’t seem to matter. All everyone wanted to talk about was “when is Lebron coming to New York?”
Let me say this first. Since Mr. James has come onto the scene, I haven’t been impressed with anything he has done off of the court at all. He seems selfish and shallow to me. Nothing he has said or done has any substance to it. He laughed and joked about Stephon Marbury’s reasonably priced shoe line while he is charging people $150.00 and up for his shoes. I guess he forgot when his broke ass couldn’t afford to pay that kind of money for some shoes. Or was it that he didn’t have to pay for the shoes he wore at all! That they were “given” to him! Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. He has done Public Service Announcements about the tragedy in Dafur Sudan, going so far as to say that he would speak about China’s role in the situation at the Olympics. But when the time came for him to speak up, he got “lock jaw.” Or should I say “BITCH JAW!” He has also publicly stated that he wants to be a billionaire. Again, “Me“, “Me“, “Me“, “I“, “I“, “I.” Now he is feeding a media that is waiting for him to come to New York. Did I forget to mention that he is still under contract with the Cavaliers??? For two more years!!
Sports commentator Charles Barkley come out after the New York game and said it was wrong for James to continue feeding the media monster at the expense of the city of Cleveland, his coaches and teammates, and the Cavalier fans. That it is disrecpectful to everyone involved. With which I agree As did fellow commentator, Kenny Smith. And according to an MSN Fox Sports poll, of the 94,003 votes taken as of this writing, the question “Who is wrong, Lebron or Charles”, by a 71% to 29% margin, LEBRON is said to be in the WRONG! There is nothing the media can do to fix that. While the media likes to “pick and choose” who is right and who is wrong, the fans know the difference. And Lebron’s response to Barkley’s comments. Are you ready? James said that Charles was “stupid.” Wow, what a thoughtful, INTELLIGENT, response that was. Lebron must have sat up all night coming up with that one! And he is supposed to be a role model! I wonder what was his SAT score, a seven! Stupid. That was the best he could come up with. Stupid. My god, what the hell has the world come to that a simpleton can command the sports world media stage and all he can come up with is “stupid!” Notice that he did EXPLAIN or JUSTIFY what was going on. He just said Charles was “stupid.” I guess 66,742 other people must be “stupid” also. Because we all agreed with Barkley.
I am old enough to remember the “Ted Stepien years” where the Cavaliers were the butt of every National Bitches Association joke. To the Cavaliers credit, they have tried to surround James with players to help him win a ring. But because the Cavs don’t fit into the ”I’m going to be a billionaire” plans of James, they are probably going to lose him to free agency in 2010. Because by listening to him last week, he is already telling the Cavs management, the city of Cleveland, his coaches and teammates, and the Cavs fans, “I’m leaving BITCHES … in two years, so get ready!!! WOW, what a CLASSY guy he is!
